Negotiating for a European satellite:

Airbus Negotiating SpaceX Launch for ESA-supported Laser Relay Satellite | SpaceNews.com

You'd think they'd go with Arianne, but the price might be too tempting.

European politics...

"PARIS — A French senator publicly upbraided Airbus Defence and Space Dec. 9 for even thinking about launching a telecommunications satellite on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket two years from now, saying the company’s move was “scandalous, unacceptable.”"

From the sounds of it they might be going for the cheaper "secondary" spot on the Arianne ship instead of a primary on the back of a Falcon 9.

But the article really irks me because their politics are the same issue that we seem to have here in the US which is that they would rather try to force someone to pay more money to stay "in country" rather than go for the cheaper price which would be better for the people footing the bill... Which happens to be partially in this case the public at large.
