Interesting comparison. I've always thought the Nissan zero-emission logo was a construct of a power button and the letter 'e' - but that doesn't explain the blue color.
Hmmm.. I heard part of a marketing talk some years ago that said blue was the new green. Supposedly there was some "green fatigue" and blue is associated with clear skies, clean air, etc.
Even Daimler went with BlueTec for it's urea additive based cleaner diesel engines. Perhaps because Go Yellow was already taken by the ethanol folks...
