Yo Higgy did you get the Opticoat Pro Plus? I think it's quite new. I'm getting that done over the break for sure.

Yes Opticoat Pro Plus.

I suggest you think twice about using a mobile service. Yes they are cheaper and easier but not the same as having the job done in a super clean workshop - and usually the specialists have OCD! Most low end detailers end up putting swirls or imperfections into the clear coat - that's why I wanted minimal pre collection prep. Having my car at the launch however meant that it did have some preparation done. Using a workshop based detailer does mean that you are without the car for a couple of days.

Opticoat doesn't have to be done immediately but does (or similar) need to be done - The car I picked up from Dan was a totally different car than the one I dropped off, it really was an amazing change. The level of gloss was fantastic. It is also worthwhile having a second coat applied.

Dan also tells me that the paint is relatively hard (Euro spec) compared with Japanese cars.

This guy seems pretty damn good though. Anyway I've asked about the environment - I've only got a car port so maybe not the best place to do it.
