POLL: Have you had to have your 12V battery replaced?

If you have had a HV battery replacement it will include a 12V too (pretty sure in all cases?)

Both times done pre-emptively by the SC when the car was being serviced for something else.

I've had mine replaced as I noted recently on another thread, but be cautious of the selection bias here when viewing the results. People who haven't had 12V battery issues would be less likely to click on this thread and answer the poll.

3 times in 1.5 years

Once preemptively by Tesla service (after about 6 months of ownership). Last month, because of the Alert message

Once in 21 months.

Once, proactively by Tesla, just a couple weeks ago. Never had any problems with it since getting my car Feb 2013.

I'm on the original 12V battery, from late-Nov 2013.

I'm on original from June 2013

Who is the supplier for the 12v batteries? Anyone taken a look at the markings on the battery or batteries? If you've seen both the original and the replacement, is the replacement the same brand?

Bought the car a year ago and just now got the 12V alert. Tesla is replacing the battery. For free, I assume.

Twice since Dec 2012 - increasing vampire losses were a clue the second time.

After 13 months and 15,000 mi I'm still on the original battery.

Replace my batttery at 18,500 Km after 3 weeks warning light on. My car is Novembre 2013. Tesla came at home 395 km from the service center. Excellent service !

May 2013 and 25,000 miles, original 12v

August 2013 delivery. 37k miles. Original 12 volt battery.

I think you are very right on this. I happenstance onto this thread while reading this quoted statistic of '75% of Tesla owner respondents have had their battery replaced at least once!" This surprised me since I've met so many fellow Tesla owners, and only one mentioned having a [12 volt] battery problem.
