The concept looks great. I believe MBZ is planning a production version for China, as 0/low emissions vehicles are getting support from the government. What are you skeptical about?
I'm skeptical that a few square feet of solar PV could generate enough electricity to propel the car more than a few feet.
My middle school, Harker, built a solar powered Fiero in 1997/8 and the top speed was less than 50 mph and had a range of 5 miles if I remember correctly. It looked similar to this one.
My favorite German hydrogen toy, a worthy match for the near silent Russky subs,
spends up to 3 weeks at high speeds undetectable without one resurfacing:

Talk about a slow electric battery fires, but then a fuel cell charging
