Cellphone Mount

This is the best one I've ever seen. Small, clips to any vent, rotates fully, holds the phone tight, easy to remove the phone and the mount itself: Kenu Airframe - Kenu

I do not have a Model S (yet?) but it should work great in pretty much any car. It has a suction cup for attaching to the car that has some crazy sticky surface that works on almost anything. I have it stuck to the dashboard of my Prius v which is not entirely smooth, and it stays firmly attached for months at a time before the air leaks in and I need to redo it.


The cell phone end is a powerful magnet, which is good and bad. The bad is that you need to put a metal plate in your phone case, which is obviously problematic if you don't have a case, or your case doesn't cover the back side of your phone. They give you a plate with a sticky backing that you can use to glue to your phone, but who wants to do that? The good is that if you do have a suitable case, then the thing becomes incredibly easy to attach and detach. There's no fiddling with latches or cradles, you just put your phone on the mount and it stays there. When you get out of the car, you pull it off. It's plenty strong enough to stay solidly in place while driving, but not so strong that it's hard to remove the phone. I'm really happy with it and would buy another one in a heartbeat if I needed another mount for some reason.

If you have a Nexus phone (4 or 5), you can try The Air Dock . Works great in the wife's minivan.
