Radar in mirror on Tesla model S P85D?

My local shop offers it on the Bel StiR model.
At least the display is in the mirror.

I still think it is far better to have the radar sensors outside the cabin for best coverage...

I have been lurking this site for awhile. Thought I'd post that I have the STI-R plus in my g37 convertible. I put the unit in the front bumper. I am not worried about laser as if your are hit with laser you are toast. But it has been the best detector of all that I have. I have the 9500ix, 8500, sti-r magnum and a few other variants. I put the display for the STI-R plus in my rear view mirror and the GPS in the A pillar inside the cabin. No problems and no issues. I also kept the antenna for the radar behind the bumper to keep it clean for long term and to keep rocks from hitting it and cracking the lens.

How did you get a blue display module for the Bell STIR? I bought a Bell STIR from ebay, but it has a red display.

They have two models. One with Red Display, and one with Blue. Order the Blue one.

It's too late to order a new one.. I got a factory refurb on ebay (with red display), including the laser shifters (front and rear) for $900. Works great.

When I was looking, the blue display was only available on the Escort 9500... and only red with the Bel STIR.

Wonding if it's possible to buy just the blue display module anywhere.

When I first ordered the Sti-R Plus, I called the engineer there and asked if it could be changed to blue. He said sure. He found my order and took it apart and changed the led in it for me.

Myabe they have changed it now, but I thought the STI-r plus still ships with red and you can order the escort 9500ci display unit and put on this.
