I could not find a thread for electric buses, so I thought I would start one. There are several all electric and plug-in hybrid buses available. BYD has several models including short 30' and standard sized 40' ones. BYD just introduced a 60' articulated monster with over 500 kWh battery and 170 mile range:

PS. Volvo has sold a good deal of their 7900 hybrid bus model, and is introducing their PHEV bus model which Volvo calls their 7900 "electric hybrid." It has a more powerful motor and battery compared to their earlier (non-plug-in) hybrid. The range is very short but they fast charge at bus stops to get diesel fuel use down to perhaps 30% of a conventional bus.
