Does anyone know if the new Model S is using a different drive train to get the 380hp and 470hp on the standard rear wheel drive? It would be awesome if they could give us early adopters a software update to unleash a few more electrons.

I THINK it has been confirmed (for the most part) that the single drive version of the S85 and P85 are using the same motor, just different inverter/converters to get more juice out of the pack.. I have never confirmed this independently on my own though.
