How many are going to delay their orders after seeing the live Event?

If anyone _does_ delay, it won't impact Tesla financials/revenue/current qtr in a negative way:
- P85D shipping December
- will likely mean higher gross margins + revenue.

I think I will. My Model S goes into production Nov 3 and in snowy Norway, I'm sure it makes sense to go for an AWD Model S. I don't mind waiting till February for the S85D to arrive. If I'm spending so much money, it better be on the latest tech in the car

Hopefully the Delivery Specialist understands the request though! Has anyone tried speaking to their DS about delaying their booked order already?

Visited the DS today. The ordering page om Norway will most likely be updated today with price information. Delivery sometime arter march 2015. When I know the prices ane options I will contact my DS using mail if I decide to change my order. I'm expecting delivery late dec 2014

just ordered my P85D....

I was going to place an order for a regular 85 this weekend, but I just checked the website and have decided to order the 85D instead and wait for delivery in Feb/March. The extra range of 295 miles on the 85D is fantastic!

I originally had delivery in late December (S85), but will now have to endure until April to get my 85D.
i'm glad this upgrade is possible since I live in Norway.

According to Tesla it is possible to add the D to all cars that did not yet enter production.

Elon's anti-selling of the MX is working on me. I'm probably going to go with an S85D, but going to wait until Spring 2015 to hopefully see the X first, and also not get a new car covered in winter road muck.

Elon has a plan.

My guess is, Model X will be another "WOW" and "MUST HAVE" revelation. And then a lot of people regret buying the P85D instead of waiting for the Model X P85D which has the awesome... xxx and xxxx and og course the falconwings which..xxxx. ;-D

I am changing from S85 to S85D and wait till Feb.. still in the 2 week to confirm window.

I was just shure, ACC has to come, so i was waiting since Mai for that feature. Wanted to order S85 but will order a S85D as soon as the Design Center is available in Germany.
And i dont care, that for shure, there will be more great feature in the next month, my car will not get.

I'll try to switch my P85+ order to a P85D. If they won't agree, I'll eat my deposit and re-order as a D and wait. The loss of deposit will be less than the depreciation on the single motor car.

I don't get it. Do you mean to delay orders that are already placed? I'm sure Tesla will let people to upgrade for anything that production has not started. This is all planned for.
