Stock HIDs were an essential upgrade to the original stock halogens. The stock halogens were so weak as to be dangerous, IMHO. I would actually go out of my way to avoid certain streets on rainy nights.

Stock HIDs - made a world of difference. Sitting low, with brighter lights from higher vehicles causing lots of glare, the dim halogens seemed even dimmer.

If your headlights are yellowish then they are halogens, whiteish are the HIDs - you should see if the original owner upgraded them at some point.

I chose the second Stock HID choice. May need to fix the poll 
I started w/ the DDM 55W HIDs and ran them for almost 3 years. Then before my final warranty service the headlights were peeling and so Tesla replaced them w/ the Stock HIDs. I was happy w/ the DDMs and I would still use them if the Stock HIDs hadn't been free.

And while you're feeling bad about yourself, you listed "DMM HIDs" and it should read "DDM HIDs."
Our ability to edit polls is extremely limited. Doug might be able to fix it, but I'm not sure about that.

+1 to that. I commuted a few months on the NJ turnpike with the stock (Halogen) lights - the oncoming traffic is so heavy and bright that it looks like the Roadster lights are switched off. Upgrading to the HIDs was astoundng and I could finally see the potholes. It was like night and... uh, y'know.
