Weird delivery situation (need advice!)

Hello all -

I've been a longtime lurker here, and last week I finally ordered my S85! Just yesterday, I confirmed my order. If you go to the Model S Design Studio and build a new S85, you get an estimated delivery date of December.

Now, when I ordered mine, I requested a delivery date of January, because I already bought an EV this year, and my income cannot absorb two tax credits, so I figured I'd take delivery in January, so I can get the credit next year. What I was hoping for was to take delivery around January 2, because that would meet my requirements.

So, here's the problem .... when I confirmed my order, now Tesla is telling me the delivery will be in "Late January." This is odd to me. Should I try to have them move my delivery back to December so I can try to get the date back to where I want it?

Do you think this will be possible? Opinions?

I would call Freemont and ask to be connected to your delivery specialist (if one has been assigned) or a delivery specialist. They should be able to work that out for you. THey are very busy right now trying to push out deliveries by Sept 30th (end of Q3) so you may have to be patient about a return call.
