    Tesla coming to Japan

    Looks like an upcoming new store for Tesla will be Tokyo!
    How do I know?
    They are advertising a Service manager position on Teslamotors.com

    Job Description: Service Manager

    Tesla Motors will be opening its Japan Service location to support our all-electric Roadster. The mission of Tesla Motors is to provide our members with quality service.



    Tesla Motors is looking for experienced Service Manager(s) to work on one of the most progressive vehicles in the world. This position is customer facing, so personality and technical ability go hand in hand. Excellent Oral and Written communication required. If you are interested in influencing a positive customer experience, we are interested in speaking with you. Must be a leader.



    We are looking for self-motivated team players with a positive attitude! We seek individuals who value customer satisfaction.



    The service manager is a key contributor in the Tesla experience. The Service Manager will provide communication to our customers on maintenance and repair needs that are identified during service. He / She will manage the Service Operations as well as providing active technical support in the store. It is a hands-on management role.

    EVs Bound for Tokyo Are Option-Packed; Tesla Says It Sees Huge Demand in Japan


    For their 18.1 million yen, the Japanese buyers will be getting specially prepared Tesla Roadster Sport models, homologated for the Japanese market (special lights, side markers and safety equipment required by Japanese law) and bearing special badging and just about every option Tesla makes available, including lots of carbon-fiber trim and, in a few cases, custom paint colors.
