I've definitely seen an influx in Porsches in my area. I wonder how well this campaign is working for them in getting potential Tesla owners to consider the Panamera.

The important part is that Model S outsell Porsche Panamera 2 to 1 in US. Will MS outsell it in EU and China? If yes Tesla potentially already much bigger than whole Porsche. Well MX is coming to compete with Cayenne, and Tesla will definitely will come with new roadster to compete with 911.

Yes there will be a new Tesla Roadster...someday. I think it is at least 5 years away. Compared to the market for sedans and coupes and SUVs and trucks, the 2 seater sports car market (or the 2+2 seat sports car) is very small. Since Tesla's objective is to show the world that ICE vehicles can be replaced with EVs that are better in every way, and Tesla has already built an EV sports car, I do not believe that Tesla will build a new Roadster any time soon.

Porsche Global Sales Up 8 Per Cent In First-Half Of 2014

July 11, 2014
by Brett Davis

Porsche sales around the world increased eight per cent in the first half of the year, with increases up to 14 per cent in Europe, eight per cent in the USA, and eight per cent up in China.

The demand for updated Panamera were said to have helped strong increases. Sales of the sports sedan were up 28 per cent, with many customers opting for the economical plug-in hybrid variant.

King of sales was of course the Cayenne large SUV. Sales topped 37,200 units around the world, including 768 in Australia, followed by the Panamera with 13,500 units, and the 911 with 15,615 units.
