Testers needer: Android Widgets

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
Hi All,

I've built 2 widgets to go along with OVMS for the Tesla Roadster. The widgets can be used to monitor the Tesla, without needing to start (or install) the OVMS application itself. Right now, I'm testing the widgets with my own Roadster, but I would love to hear other people's experiences and comments, so I'm inviting everyone to test them.

What you need:
- Tesla Roadster
- OVMS hardware installed and running
- Android phone with internet connection
- Tasker
- Zooper Widget

What it will bring:
- 1 widget that looks like the VDS.
- 1 widget that looks better on a dark background
- Future will bring more styles by request.
- Customisible update intervals

The widgets show:
- PEM temperature
- Motor temperature
- Battery temperature
- Charging state (will be expanded with amperes/voltages in the future)
- Battery mode (range/performance/standard/storage)
- Next version will also show est range and ideal range.

If you want to join the bèta test, please reply to this topic and I will get in touch.
Also, feel free to post comments on the looks & features or request stuff.

You guys just got a PM with a download link. Be sure to read the readme.txt in the zip.
And please be aware of the following "errors":

***Known errors***
- Does not yet show degrees F
- Graphs are an indication, not an exact representation of the on-board graph colors. I'm still working on this, although I think the original VDS bars are not really intuitive

Thanks Mark :)

I made some more :)

This I made while being bored/sleepless. It shows the battery percentage and temperatures as a graph.

Dials/gauges in Roadster cluster style. I just couldn't think of a suitable icon for PEM.

And some seperate widgets for battery, range and temperature (with color gradient)

Releasing to the public today after I've tested them.
