I ordered and confirmed by MS P85 on 7/14/14. I just got my VIN # and expected delivery is now 9/26. I've been reading / watching everything I can on the Model S and Tesla for the past 2 months and can't wait to finally own one in just a few short weeks.

Thanks! When my family and friends found out how much I'm paying, they were shocked. But when I explain how much I spend on gas and annual maintenance, then suddenly the cost of ownership to them makes total sense. I think I got my sister to start obsessing over the Model X.

Hey Archer, are you takng delivery in Fremont? I have the same delivery date in Fremont and will be driving down to San Diego on the 27th and passing right by Ojai. Plan to stop at Oxnard SC, hope they're opened by then. Maybe see you in Fremont.

I'm picking up from Van Nuys Service Center. I didn't get the option to pickup from Fremont. Would I get it earlier if I picked up from Fremont? My sister lives nearby so I could easily fly up. Did you make special request for the pickup?

I dropped by the Oxnard location and one of the workers told me that it may not be up for another month because of the work Southern California Edison still needed to do. I hope it's ready by late September because I'll use it a lot when I commute between Ojai and LA.

Will you post some photos of your steel grey and impression of the color? There are only a few available photos of the new grey online, and I am trying to decide on color.

Hi Archer - I confirmed my P85 order two days after you and am scheduled for delivery at the factory one day after your 9/26 delivery. When I first confirmed, my target for delivery was October but when I made the change to factory delivery, it did move up to late September. Without the time for a truck to drive it down, I saved a few days. Not sure you could at this point, but it is certainly worth asking your delivery specialist.

I hope you are coping with the wait better than I am. It's killing me!
