Testing the battery shield - not much, but a little anyway

I hit something today for the first time since getting the battery shield installed. It looked like a strangely shaped square wooden block. I thought it would miss me but it bounced back into my lane. Don't think it did any damage though. Heard a faint thump when it hit. No alerts from the car - drove another 15 miles or thereabouts after hitting it.

It happens at 14 seconds in the video. You can see it flash under me right as the car passes me on the left.


Here is a still - you can see the block and its shadow on the road.

(...hijack)...I have a dual front/rear dash cam that is always recording (overwrites old files) and also saves events triggered by a 3-axis accelerometer (so forces/bumps over a certain G get captured). Search for threads on dash cams for more info....
