Is there really a problem with colour grey and the Transport Department?

Received a call from Tesla HK today, informing me, colour grey has been "upgraded" to a bit darker tone with more metallic look. I informed them, that this is ok with me, just give me my car as fast as possible.

Locky, you are absolutely correct that the original Tiburon Grey (aka Dolphin Grey) is no longer available. The new grey is a darker steel grey.

I heard there are 50 shades of grey ... so which one will you get? I'm getting silver metallic, as dull and anonymous as can be.

There was speculation that the change from Dolphin to Steel Grey was due to a HK import issue based on the info in Locky's blog.
