The initial installation has been completed at Simon's Florida Mall in Orlando and will be complete at Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto, CA later this month. One 'Level 2' charger, which has the capability to "top off" or partially charge a customer's electric vehicle in a 60 to 120 minute time frame, is now operational near the food court entrance at Florida Mall. One dual unit, with two 'Level 2' chargers, will be installed in the parking deck between Macy's and Bloomingdale's at Stanford Shopping Center.

These EV charging stations will be self-service and easy to operate. Shoppers will be able to just "pull up and plug in" and leave their vehicles at the charging station while they are enjoying time at the mall. Charging will be free during an introductory time period and then a nominal fee will be assessed...

Yes, short term parking. For passenger pick-up or just making a quick pit stop as I go past the airport.
(I wasn't noting it as a good location for CHAdeMO so much because it is an airport, but rather it is well located for those going between the South Bay and the city... Maybe a 50% charge in 15 minutes on the way up, and another 15 minute "pick me up" on the way back.)

Yes, slower J1772 would be fine for long term parking.

    Two AeroVironment J1772s.
There is supposed to be a Tesla there (along with the Th!nk) for the "Dog and Pony" show tomorrow.

Oakland Airport has a bunch of level 2 coulumbs installed in long term parking. Some opening event on the 18th. I might be displaying my Tesla there along with friends' Volt and Leaf.

This is an old page from the CA ARB, but it has lots of presentations and is an interesting look back a couple years. PG&E's presentation has a nice page on the I-80 deployment.

We have many exciting things planned for the new location. First, we are in negotiations to have an on-site Coffee/Food partner. We also will have free NEV (neighborhood electric vehicle) charging, 220-Volt (Tier II) charging for bigger electric cars

The world loves to be deceived.
