Ever wonder where your brakes come from?

We were visiting Jackson, Michigan and I stumbled on this Brembo plant in the middle of nowhere. I was told that this Brembo plant is where the Tesla brakes are made and there has been several Tesla's (model S) sighted there

I wonder whether Brembo is supplying the rotors, as well? They don't appear to be very corrosion-resistant, unfortunate for a car of this caliber.

It's one of the very few things in this world that Chevy got right and Tesla got wrong. GM developed a special compound for the Volt rotors that was very corrosion resistant.

I noticed that Chevy had done that. Tesla could improve the situation by specifying high-zinc content rotors.
