The car looks beautiful!
I thought the aluminum pedals only came with the performance model. Did you pay extra for that?

yes i did. $250 :scared: +tax. you can order from the service center; only took 1 day to get here. the rubber ones just look really cheap to me (actually the factory brake has a rubber pad but the accelerator pedal has no cover - it's just a thin piece of plastic w/ non slip surface). for some reason i thought all the MS had them but you are right, it's only standard on P85/P85+.

What do you have holding the UMC "transformer" (I guess) just below the NEMA 14-50 plug?
it's a wall mount bracket for the UMC brick. i bought it from quickchargepower.com but i've had some issues with it. basically when the car is charging for more than one hour at night the UMC warmed it up enough to loosen it's grip and it slid out of the bracket. i made some slight mods to it (not pictured) by using plastic shims and applying black electrical tape to the whole thing to make it black and a little tighter. i charged the other night for a few hours and it did not fall out this time.

quickchargepower was great and gave me a refund. they are currently working on the next version which will be more elegant. but for now, i like the way it works and looks. wasn't too keen on the brick hanging in mid air from that socket. i can take another pic of it if you'd like ...

I was wondering about that. The brick gets pretty warm during charging and that bracket material looks a little suspect in that regard. Will be interesting to see how they improve it.

Congrats! We're getting opticoat after putting on Photosync tint and Xpel wrap on hood and other rock prone areas. Sept delivery. I have family in SD, so we need to protect this car from all the desert elements that can be thrown at it. Yours looks beautiful!

Andrew, they shouldn't put wrap on top of the sealant. The wrap doesn't adhere to it well. Xpel's website makes mention of that too. Just an FYI.

yes i was worried about that too and emailed the owners before i bought it. this was the response, and they added the description to the product page as a result of my question:

"The UMC wall mount is made of PLA, its a corn based material, here is a wikipedia link for more info if you are interested. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polylactic_acid

The heat rating: extrudes at about 185C. It could get slightly soft around 60-70C (glass transition temperature).
"

of course the UMC brick does get hot when charging for long periods, but it should never get as hot as 60-70C (i hope!!). apparently either the brick's outer material shrinks/expands enough to wiggle out of the bracket, or the arms of the bracket just loosen ever so slightly and the weight of the brick slips through its grip. the maximum number of miles i've driven in a day so far is 70 miles, but i had to recharge about 80, so just under 3 hours of charging. if i only charged for an hour, it would stay put. somewhere in the 2 hour range is when i would find it hanging from the socket the next morning.

@Andrew - no PPF for us. i debated it but just worry alot about yellowing/discoloration and the overall dulling of PPFs, especially on a white car. so i feel like if i opt for PPF, it's got to be the whole car or nothing, which is $$$$$. i also really enjoy the gloss/wet shine of CQ and it is so incredibly glossy and smooth. i was thinking about doing Xpel based on its great reputation, but part of our rationale for choosing pearl white was its ability to hide minor imperfections. our outgoing lexus is pearl white and looks brand new even after 3 years lease and no paint protection or wax in that time.

i am thoroughly impressed with CQ and will be reapplying it every 2-3 years to keep the nice wet shine going. i thought our 1 year old Benz looked amazing but compared to the tesla, the paint on the benz feels like sandpaper!
