Model S charge voltage at 100% charge

There will probably be a lot of people on this forum that can answer this better but---- When I use a supercharger I see a final voltage of 403 volts displayed on the screen. Assuming there are 96 modules, then it is charging very close to 4.2 volts per cell. My I-MiEV on the other hand charges to no more then 4.1 volts per cell. Chemistries can be different, but as far as most Li-ion cells are concerned, 4.2 volts is usually a "never exceed" voltage. That's why charging to a lower daily charge limit, and storage at a partial charge is beneficial to the life of the battery. With the range of the MS, there is no reason to charge to 100% on a daily basis for most drivers however, to balance the pack, it needs to be done from time to time. This only what I have observed, other observations may vary.
