Ordered S85 yesterday

As most of you can guess, We are very excited. We ordered a white S85, textile seats, obeche gloss, tech package, pano, parking sensors. Just happen to order the first day the parcel shelf was included. Delivery is late September. Using the advice of a very knowledgeable product specialist (Matt Stieg) at the Scottsdale, AZ gallery, we called and talked to an owner advisor (Kimi Lee) to place the order. She had a lot of good advice and the process was too easy.

I did get on the wait list for the center console. The reply email says it should be delivered in December. ?????

Looking forward to meeting other owners in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

This is my first post but my wife has posted for a year or so and I thank all you that have answered of our questions.

And the wait begins.

Congratulations!

I've been on the CC wait list for 6 months or so and am no closer to getting a console, AFAIK. But it's a blessing in disguise, since when I bought the car I was sure I wanted one, but having lived with it now for several months I am pretty sure that I don't. The cupholder placement in the existing console is a minor annoyance (esp. when you have two cups), but I've grown fond of the big open space in between the seats and don't think I'd want to give that up. I thought lack of storage was going to be an issue, but it's not, really--the glove compartment and cubby underneath the nav hold everything I really want.

Just ordered a Model S yesterday as well and also have late September delivery estimate... S85 Silver, body color roof, 19" primacy, Tan Nappa Leather, Piano Black decor, Dual charger, Tech package, Smart Air suspension, Parking sensors, Ultra HF sound and parcel shelf... As someone said, Chevy Volt is Tesla gateway drug...

Congrats. Now it's a race to the finish to see who drives home first.

Hey congratulations romac and TomWhiteside! I confirmed on the 24th and my estimated date is an even more vague "September". I ordered an S85, blue, textile/piano, pano, smart air, tech, parking, sound, subzero. I'm in Boston so the longer transport time may mean we all three get our cars at about the same time! I'm looking forward to hearing our delivery stories.

Congrats Romac
I finally confirmed my order on June 5 for delivery in Australia. The local DS is predicting August delivery which I think is way optimistic but as I reserved 2 years ago Tesla may have allocated some production slots to us in advance knowing that specs and pricing locally was to be finalised at the beginning of this month.
It hasn't affected my sleep yet but I have a feeling that waiting for my car to cross the Pacific will be torture. :crying:

You got it. I'll share when the happy day comes. Maybe someone can stake out the factory when we know it's about time to ship our cars and take a pic of them on the transport.

Congrats Romac

Congrats to you too on you order. Interesting that your delivery is before mine as I confirmed on June 3. Maybe because you reserved 2 years ago?

My sleep has been affected but now I get to read the forums at 2 in the morning.

Best of luck to your new car in it's Pacific crossing.

Just ordered mine too. Starting the two week waiting list just in case we change our mind on the color and maybe adding leather. Config right now is as follows:

85kWh Model S
Standard 19" wheels
Black Textile Seats with Obeche Wood Matte Decor
Blue Metallic Paint with Blue Roof
Parking Sensors
Parcel Shelf (thanks Tesla for now including this item)
Parking Sensor
Tech Package
Subzero Weather Package

Should I upgrade to full leather?

I am taking delivery in a couple of weeks and ordered a similar configuration. No wood (Piano black) or Subzero (live in Tucson, AZ). Added Fog Lights (why not), Pano Roof (could not resist after test drive). I strongly considered the Textile seats, but went with leather just could not see a 90K care without leather. That being said, I see no downside with the Textile seats, they look nice and are exactly the same. I also considered dual chargers but living in Arizona and only driving to Nevada or California I figured I was set with the Super Chargers. Would have got upgraded sound for 1K to 1.5K but not 2.5K.

I also confirmed June 1st and have a September deliver in Connecticut. Black S85 with pano roof, textile/piano, tech, parking & fog lights.

Confirmed at 10pm June 1st so missed out on parcel shelf by 2 hours.

Figure it will be by end of September to meet quarterly close figures.

Just confirmed my order today. Originally was going with Blue/Grey Leather but after seeing the red in person again, we just had to go with that. Confirmed configuration is now:

85kWh, Red with Black Roof, black leather, piano black dash, 19" standard wheels, Tech, Parking sensors, cold weather package, parcel shelf. Sept delivery time!! Wooo Hooo.

@LucM - My car went into production yesterday, so I am two or so weeks out from delivery since I am in Tennessee. What is amazing about the purchasing process for buying a Tesla is that people get the car the way that they want it and not the way that some dealership sales manager thinks will sell the quickest or can bring the highest profit. Believe me, I anguished over my configuration just the same way as you did. It took me about a month to conclude that if you are purchasing a Tesla, then you had a reason for outfitting it the way that you did. When I did that, I stopped worrying about it. The only bad decision that can be made is not buying a Model S if you can afford it.
