Bank of America is now offering financing for Tesla Roadsters.

Get your Tesla Roadster with monthly payments from Bank of America

This should help Tesla out some. If the auto financing application is done via the Tesla Stores, then they are likely getting a fee of at least $1,000+ for selling the car loan for BofA.

Does anyone with car financing experience know how much the auto dealer gets for brokering the car loan?
 
They can get up to 4 % depending on the % rate charged to the end customer.

Unscrupulous dealers make more on the finance than on the car.

Longer the loan, the higher the % interest the bigger the $$

It will lead to boy racers getting their hands on and wrecking precision engineering.

Hopefully they will prefer to go play with a Nissan GTR or some other pretender to the throne of exclusivity.

Finance or no finance, I hardly think "boy racers" will be getting their hands on a 100 grand car. I doubt their backup choice would be a 50 grand car either.
