Right now Amarillo does not yet have it's supercharger.
For those who are passing through on I-40, a local B&B has installed a NEMA 14-50 in their driveway for guests who stay overnight.

La Casita del Sol is a recently restored home converted to a Bed & Breakfast in the Plemons district of Amarillo, near downtown. It is close (~ 1/2 mile) to the I-40 and I-27 interchange.
I stopped by to test their setup, and had no problems at all getting a full 40amps on their dedicated circuit. The owner just installed this with a 50 amp breaker.
If you are planning a road trip on I-40, this would make a nice overnight stop.
