an obvious question for me is why did you purchase a HPWC without dual chargers? What is the point, unless they didnt inform you that the car cannot utilize the HPWC to the fullest without dual chargers. I am looking for a second Model S, and thinking to order another one with no options but the cargo cover. I like the car in the plain version and the 60 has been a good choice for us.

The description says "Twin Chargers" so I assume it does have dual chargers.

I see that in the OP description, but not on the window sticker. I see the HPWC but I am not sure that includes the twin chargers. In fact if you look at the window sticker it clearly states SINGLE CHARGER. Today that package is sold for about $2700 for both, but back when I ordered my car, it was a separate line item. In fact we didn't even know if we needed something like that, until just before the car came, I was told just to install a 14-50 240v plug and that was all I would need.

He probably didn't want to bother with plugging/unplugging the UMC. Avoids fatigue on the receptacle and, well, the HPWC looks much cooler

Good call. I didn't look at the window sticker. You're right. OP, you should correct your description to say HPWC with Single Charger.
