I asked about ACC on the new TM technical forum. Hopefully it is selected for an answer...

I have a model S Signature Performance reserved here in Australia. At around 50k (AUD), I bought my Chrysler 300C Lux which has ACC, BLIS, FCW, RCP as well as a few other features.
I'm going to be very sad, (and probably defer my order) if the Model S Signature Performance doesn't even have ACC when it is released to the market here in late 2013/early 2014 as it is pricing up to be a car upward of $120K-$130K (AUD) once our stupid taxes etc kick in.
And to be honest, with the lack of Superchargers, charging stations, the closest service center 300-400km (around 150mi) away (Hopefully ranger service will take care of that), and no government grants etc for EVs, I'm having serious doubts.
Tend to agree with the comments above. Is there any news at all on adaptive cruise control yet?

That's the big question. Would be nice but not totally surprised if it isn't possible.

I really hope so! However, keeping the necessary hardware in mind I have my doubts. Usually, it requires both radar in the nose of the car, as well as camera's/laser behind the windshield. I hope Tesla gives priority to this feature, as it seems to be something that can be purchased from Bosch/siemens etc.
Not sure if this is old news, but I downloaded the latest owners manual and it has a fuse for "ACC sensor". I don't remember seeing that in the past.
