Supercharger - Santee, SC

Another supercharger is now under construction and this thread is dedicated to the periodically updates and pictures. The location is supposed to be behind the Clark’s Inn & Restaurant at 114 Bradford Blvd Santee, SC 29142.

Google Maps - http://goo.gl/8D0uOo
Tesla Wiki Supercharger Map - http://www.teslawiki.net/supercharger/ (needs to be updated with new location)

techmaven tipped us off with the information by contacting Santee's Tourism office. Thanks for the info.

I also gave the Clark’s Inn and the women at the first desk believes that construction has already started and is expected to be behind the inn. I've attached a map of where I believe the supercharger to be located but could be completely wrong. The green box highlights the restaurant, the blue box is the inn and the red box is the possible supercharger location. We hope to get eyes on the property within a week. Stay tuned!

Well, great news! This location is a lot farther along than we thought. It should be done by Friday! They are completing 6 stalls with a possibility to expand 4 more. We were also able to confirm the location within the parking lot (see the attached updated map). Then the crew is heading up to work on the Lumberton location!

It is a perfect 1 day drive from S Fla. I am planning my trip to Boston when all are done along I95. It appears I will hav to break it up into 3 days but will be a nice FREE drive. From there I can get to around Washington or Baltimore for the final leg. I can drive 2 hours and stop every 140 miles between SC in my economical 60.

Hope the Inn has plenty of rooms they could be busy with Tesla owners stopping over, but I do see a Holiday Inn across the street in the pictures.

Another picture from another member of our Carolina's group on Facebook. He also left this comment as well "Stopped by today and dropped off some food and drink for the guys working on the SC. Work should be completed tomorrow, but the inspection and other items still need to occur. Might be open for charging later next week. They are headed to Lumberton next."

Wow, really going fast now.
I certainly could have used this Supercharger Station in early November 2013 (sigh...)

Still lots of little things to do, plus get inspections, turn power on.
Hope everything goes well for Christmas Eve delivery!

That would be great if its ready by Christmas. I will be traveling through a couple of days after. How will we know if its up and going?

I'll report back from anything that I find in our Carolina's FB group (here's the link if you'd like to join - https://www.facebook.com/groups/CarolinasTeslaOwnersAndFans/) but keep checking the navigation in the car. In the past the navigation status has been flipped when its operational way before the map is updated on teslamotors.com or they have a ribbon cutting.

I am not on Facebook (yes, I am that one guy that keeps them at 99.999999999999% of the US) so I appreciate you letting me now and I will check the nav too

I just returned from a visit to the Santee Supercharger. A guy on the site told me that it is finished and ready to turn on, but it must be tested by an independent company, which is behind in its schedule because of all the superchargers being built right now. They are scheduled to test Santee on January 3rd. There will be contractors on-site Dec 27th, so there is some possibility of it being turned on then.
