Two points:
1:The firebird can track straight and spin much easier due to the non posi-traction diff and very narrow and likely less sticky tires.
2: It's hard to beat the sound combo of burning rubber and a big V8!
 
Really screwed up by showing the wife this video. I mentioned how cool it will be to do this just before replacement. She explained that under no circumstances will I ever drive her car in such a manner. So hypocritical given that she actually searches for Audi's and Bimmers to smoke at stop lights!

Oh yea this is going to happen at a tire store sometime in the future!
 
Sorry to awaken an older, smaller thread... but, for some reason, this video has picked up a lot of attention over the past week!

Right now, it is on the front page of MSN.com in the lower left hand corner, with a nice article to accompany it. Dozens of car enthusiast sites have posted or written about it over the past 10 days. The video went from approx 1000 views to 46,000 in just a few days, though it was already two months old at that point.
