So I guess you don't have to plunk down a 5K deposit anymore before Telsa will let you take a test drive. How long has that been happening, does anyone know?

You could do a $5,000 credit card deposit, then just request a refund a day later. Or you could just reverse the charge on your credit card.

I remember doing those types of test drives when I was that age. My friends and I would try to convince the Chevy dealer to let us take a Corvette, or some other performance car, for a test drive. It almost never worked.
I am wondering how they convinced Tesla Motors to let them take out that marketing Roadster. That is the same car I drove when I was there in January.

I don't want to make the salesfolk have to waste a bunch of time doing paperwork just to undo it.
