Error code chatter in vehicle logs

Is it normal for the Roadster to intermittently throw out error codes? I don't think the errors are that critical since none of the errors map to any known errors that I've found (although it doesn't seem like many error codes have been mapped).

Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

1: error count for month
2: histogram of error count
3: List of 3 most common errors with count and error code number

I guess the heart of my question is whether or not most of the reported errors are actually errors or if they are just warnings. The "errors" that I see that have text descriptions are just warnings about the tire pressure.

List of known codes vs messages is here:

Open-Vehicle-Monitoring-System/server/ovms_server_tr.vece at master · markwj/Open-Vehicle-Monitoring-System · GitHub

The ones prefixed DMC are debug messages and, we are told, not to be generally worried about.

65535 is the code to clear the error (on the can bus at least), so I suspect not a worry for you.

I can add a few more to the knowledge base:

1095 Press brake pedal before shift
1160 Drivers door ajar
1162 Trunk ajar
1167 Headlights on (I don't recall the circumstances)

Thanks. I've added them, and will commit to github later.

P.S. Apart from 1167. I think it better to get the exact error message for that (because 'headlights on' does not really make sense as an error).

Thanks. You have some more error codes than what I was able to find. From inference, I think I figured out what codes 1075, 1076 and 1077 are

1075=DMC FW: PhaseB OverTemp warning. Torque limited
1076=DMC FW: PhaseB Temp Diff warning
1077=DMC FW: PhaseC OverTemp warning. Torque limited

Thanks. I've added them, and will commit to github later.

I've occasionally seen "Headlights on" come up as an error badge on the VDS when starting the car. Yes, that is the actual text but I have no idea why it's considered an error. I've always just ignored it.

I've seen the "headlights on" error before, and you're right, it makes no sense. I had just turned the car on and it immediately gave me that error.

Also, here is one I notice you do not have.

ID: 529 - Check right low beam bulb

Does anybody know how worrisome these faults are?

BSM: Isolation fault
BSM: Isolation fault while contactors closed

These were errors I got when my heater box needed to be replaced. Apparently there was some moisture getting in (or to a part) that was causing an isolation error. After seeing it a couple times after/during rain and being able to clear it by running the heater (per Tesla recommendation) it finally got to the point where it wouldn't clear and the car wouldn't charge.
