So the Roadster originally came with "7 spoke" wheels which many people seem to like, but TM has made them optional and switched the standard wheels to a 5 spoke "split spoke" design. Perhaps it is silly, but I tend to like wheels to have "symmetry to the lugs", so the 5 lug pattern on the Roadster is well suited to 5 spoke wheels.

TM showed us some Roadsters with 2 different designs before finally showing what they picked. Here are some pics of various 5 spoke "split spoke" wheels:

The ones they plan to ship soon (Fondmetal 7400):

If you want to buy four of those wheels it will cost. £2,676.00
That is approximately $4,000.

Are you sure? I'm reading that web page as advertising a set of 4 wheels and tyres starting at £699.

"4 NEW FONDMETAL 7400 ALLOYS WITH SPECIAL TITANIUM POLISHEDL FINISH INCLUDING HIGH PERFORMANCE TYRES"

"4 X FONDMETAL_7400 +TYRES"

"FONDMETAL : 4 NEW FONDMETAL 7400 ALLOYS WITH SPECIAL TITANIUM POLISHEDL FINISH INCLUDING HIGH PERFORMANCE TYRES"

I'm seeing lots of 4's and plural grammar.
