San Antonio Service Center

I was just at the Houston gallery last weekend and one of the Product Specialists told me that the manager of the San Antonio service center is in town (SA) now, scouting for a location. There is also an opening on the Tesla Careers page for a Service Technician in San Antonio. Hopefully it won't be long now.

So one of the Product Specialists at this weekend's test drive event in San Antonio is going to be working out of the SA location. He told me that SA will be the new "Service Center Plus" concept. They will have some product specialist and store type space, not just a Service Center.

Unfortunately he also told me they still haven't settled on a location. So I expect we still have a while to wait.

Tesla Texas team, if you're reading this, anywhere along the north section of 1604 between 281 and 35 would be good for me.

To folks in the San Antonio area, where are you getting your tires rotated? Thanks...coming up on my first rotation...
Yes, have done it as part of service every time (twice). Had a tire replaced at Sears a year or so ago, they had the right lifting equipment and everyone came over to look at things.

On another note, heard that the front runner location for our Service Center Plus (Service + Gallery) is around 281 and 1604.

Thanks Cattledog...I guess you're taking your S's over to Austin or are you simply calling and following the online service process?Very good to hear on the SC location, while I would have voted for 10 and 1604, I can totally understand why 281 and 1604 is better. Thanks again and hope to meet you one of these days -

Yes, they come pick up at about 8 AM and return about 8 PM. We have a throwaway BMW (hah!) so I haven't taken a loaner. I live just north of downtown in Monte Vista so 1604 and anything is about the same 15 minutes for me. I tried to get a dozen parking spaces for a Tesla show-off 18 months ago at Pearl, never quite clicked. Might shoot again fo the fall, however whereas last time it would have been educational, now I think people would perceive it as showing off.

I think this will be the "Service Plus" concept we've heard about before. We had strong suspicions of the general area but I think this is the most specific info about the location we've had so far.
By the way there are already two different San Antonio Service Center threads. Not sure if this should be merged with those, but those two should definitely be merged.
