Confirm faster == Delivery faster?

Pretty sure since people who placed order after I "ordered" on 8/22 and confirmed 8/24, versus my 9/1 are 2 weeks ahead. Model type also matters since P and P+ are priority.

I imagine the sooner confirmed, the sooner delivered. However every car is unique, more or less.

Take whatever time you need to be comfortable with your order, but I see no advantage in delaying for no reason at all.

Yes, it does hasten the delivery. I placed and confirmed my order the same day and got my car about 5 weeks later, a couple weeks faster than the original estimate.

Yes. The sooner you confirm, the sooner it will go into production. I would wait 24 hours--let the dust settle, and that way you can make absolutely sure you don't want to upgrade to + :biggrin:

Congrats, and if you confirm today, you should have in early Oct. Won't know until you hit that magic button.

I know exactly what you mean ACDriveMotor... I tried hard to keep the car price below that magic $100K with taxes without sacrificing my eventual experience with it!

I placed my order on 9/5 and confirmed today (9/9). I'll let you know when I get more information.

I confirmed on 9/9 and got the VIN in about an hour or so later. Late October is all I see at this point and I'm trying not to think about it! I did get a P so that might make a difference in delivery date. Can't believe how exciting it is!

Yea, the P must have made the difference. I still don't have a VIN 9 days later.

I confirmed my S85 last Sunday (ten days ahead of the auto confirmation date) and by Monday I had the VIN and my status changed to "Sourcing Parts". My preferred delivery says "late October".

I confirmed my order 8/28, delivery specialist email within 5 days (over Labor Day weekend), to get things rolling with insurance, sale of current vehicle, garage power, etc AND to say my 85 will be available for pick up on 9/29. Do have a VIN and My Tesla sez September delivery and sourcing parts. NEMA 14-50 installed today. Unfortunately have been glued to this forum for the past three weeks, fortunately rafting down the Colorado through the Grand Canyon for the next two weeks (and totally off the grid). TMC forum DTs isn't going to be pretty...
