Anyone with new thoughts on the "Ultra High Fidelity Sound" vs Standard System
I know this has been previously addressed ad nauseum. Alas, most of the threads originated 6-8 months ago and are 40+ pages.
So, humor me if you will, and share your thoughts on this.
I know ultimately it comes down to "personal preference" and how much further I am willing to empty my wallet.
For $1000, I'd say, "what the hell -- what's another $1000 on a $90K+ car?"; for $2500, I'm wondering, "it's only worth it if the base system is really mediocre.
I did do a (albeit too brief) side-by-side (actually showroom -- to dealer lot ) comparison. The base system sounded pretty darn good to me; the premium sounded even better (just not sure if it's $2500 better...).
Anyway, thanks to anyone who cares to chime in on what I know is a topic of much opinion and debate).

After posting I came across this relatively recent thread, which is essentially the same question as mine. So apologies for the duplicate. (I would delete the thread, but can't seem to...). Anyway, thoughts are still welcome...
