Three Dings? New sound

I think that's the sound that happens when you put your foot on the brake and throttle at the same time. It clears soon as you lift your foot though, so you might not have seen it.

Correct. It requires very little pressure on both pedals to set that off.

Check out this video. DragTimes did a 0-60 video of the model S and shows an error message on screen when the brake and accelerator are pressed at the same time. Did it sound like that? That sound and error message happened to me for another error, but can't remember what caused the message. However, the message went way when I corrected the error.

Unintentional due to wide shoes? I have had that happen in cars where the accelerator and brake pedal are close to each other - mostly done in (manual shift) sport cars I believe on purpose.
