Chicago: I'm ready to buy -- any recommendations for person to work with?

This site may earn commission on affiliate links.
After two test drives (from the Grand Avenue location), and a visit by an electrician to evaluate my garage, I do think I'm ready to write the deposit check.

Does anyone have a recommendation of someone to work with? I seems like the Chicago location has a bit of turnover in staff, since each time I visit that location, there are different people there (and the two different sales people I worked with never followed through with getting back to me with answers to a couple of questions. On one hand I'm happy with not having overly-intrusive sales people calling (I'm sure they get visits by lots of insincerely-interested people, but for a $90,000+ purchase, I'd like a little attention...)

Anyway, if anyone cares to suggest someone (to see in person or merely deal with via phone/email), I'd welcome the recommendation.

Thanks!

...just order on line at the TM web site??? Credit card for $2500 deposit. You will get a delivery specialist assigned at some point.

I agree with JPP, just go online and reserve. Anyone at Tesla will just do the same thing with you (i.e. walk you through the online reservation process). The "sales" folks do not work on commission, so it really doesn't matter.

----------Update-----------

However, if you are interested in a more personal experience, feel free to go to the Oak Brook or Old Orchard showroom to order. It's a little different feel than Grand Ave location since they are not service centers as well. They all are very nice to deal with.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Brian Doody out of Old Orchard. He helped advise on options that my wife and I were unsure of without trying to upsell as you would expect. I highly recommend him if you decide to use a Tesla rep to help you through the online sales process.

If you do reach out to Brian, please let him know Urmil referred you. The three others I've referred to him are now current owners as well; they have nothing but high praise for Brian. If you can, request for Andrew O'Donnell as your DS; another customer-focused Tesla associate.

I understand that while there aren't any commissions, there are some type of quotas that the stores must meet in the number of reservations. If you just order online, the reservation credit goes to one of the stores in California. Not really a big deal either way IMHO but is what we were told by the Denver store and did place our order through them since they did the test drive for us.
