Supercharger - Fremont, CA - Tesla Factory (LIVE, 4 V2 + 8 V3 stalls)

Lol, salt in the wounds. I was supposed to take delivery of my car at the factory that day, but just found out today it's delayed until "early September."

It's odd that Fremont is not on the two year plan for Superchargers. I guess this was a very recent decision.

Always struck me as odd they didn't have a Supercharger at the spot where the Supercharger was born.

I'm picking up my car on Thursday at the factory, but will be coming back by on Friday. What time is it happening?

Would love some pics from anyone here who will be attending the event.

They always had a supercharger there, in Service, as far back as early June when I took my car in for service. It was available to owners in an emergency (if one knew about it, that is ) as per my service advisor.

They are making a true public facility available now, it seems. Remains to be seen if it'll not get 'abused' by Bay Area locals. Fremont's no more than 30 miles away from most Model S owner hotspots in the area.

SC were born at Hawthorne... not Fremont.

It's right in the middle of my commute off 880.

Guess where I will be charging up from now on...

The south-east end of the property is near-ish to a bunch of options on Mission Boulevard.

I suspect this is mostly to just beef up their supercharger numbers at low cost.

Awesome. I am going to Carmel and then Fremont for a factory tour a week from Monday. Now all I need to do is figure out charging in Carmel.

Blows me away that there is only 3-4 in the whole city! I emailed a bunch of hotels to request chargers and no response.

Now that I think about it, that's the same corner as the test track property they just bought...

It'll be interesting to see where on the property the official supercharger is.

I understand the SC is near the Customer Delivery Center, which is in the center of the long factory, on the Mission Blvd. side.

Maybe it was conceived in Hawthorne but born in Fremont Cigars for everyone!
