Model S 21" wheel price increase?

Seems like it indeed. Don't see the same price increase on the Dutch version of the website though.

Yup, I see that too on the US ordering page - $1,000 price increase to $4,500.

I guess its EVEN MORE worth it to get the P+ package now......

Well, they are pushing for 25% gross margins. Making a killing on options is a time honored auto industry tradition.

Wow. I just put my order in on Thursday. Glad I dodged that bullet.

All the 21s listed for sale on this website just became a much better deal!

Aftermarkets are looking much better every day. I guess that means the P+ package just went up to $11,000.

If you don't mind the small headache, the deal is to go with the 19's and then sell then for about $1K. Buy whatever you want. You are virtually guaranteed to save about $2K.

Your right....didn't realize....

Maybe all the 21"s will now have Michelin PS tyres...

You can still buy them as a separate purchase for $3500 if you look at the Tesla website.

That was my guess too but the specs page hasn't been updated. Also EU pricing remains the same for the wheel upgrade, and we'll only be getting PS2s.

That is rims only, without tires and sensors.

True but they were priced that way prior to the price increase for the 21 in wheels when configuring the Model S.

Wheel Price increase in the Tesla Gear Page

Just noticed that the 21 inch wheel price had increased on the Tesla Gear page. They were $3500 for just a set of 4, and now are $4500. Sorry if this is a repost.

I thought they were 5200$ for a set of 4 previously.

5200 was wheel and tires, now that is 6200.

Yeah, they snuck in these increases back in June. The air suspension also got a price bump.

Both gray and chrome 21" wheels are $6500 on the Model S Accessories page. Not sure if this is new or not. Haven't tried configuring...
