Slacker trial change from Tesla account

My DS told me that they hold the account and password, and you can retrieve it through them. This was in case you decided to test out other types of accounts through Slacker, and wanted to get back to the Tesla version.

The DS also told me that I have 6 months of the Tesla version of Slacker.

Check with Tesla ownership. You should have been given the password by the Delivery Specialist when you received your car. Ownership should be willing to give you the password.
Partially incorrect.

DS doesn't typically volunteer the login/password (at least they didn't originally). Early deliveries included the Slacker setup as part of prep. Later deliveries didn't need it because an update of the firmware made it automatic.

But, if you contact Tesla via e-mail they will provide your login information (or at least they did back when).

They no longer do this. Here is the email reply:

"Thank you for reaching out to us and cof choosing Model S! Unfortunately, the license we have with Slacker Radio prevents us from distributing the login credentials for the accounts and ensures that access is reserved exclusively for Model S. If you would like to sign up for an additional Slacker Plus or Premium account, that you can put on a multitude of devices, you can input those credentials on your Model S. If you are having trouble gaining access to your current Model S account, I can absolutely help you further with this by placing you in contact with our service team."

That's a bummer. I'd like to be able to setup and modify my stations from my PC where I have a web interface that's a bit more dynamic.

I called Tesla last week and they wouldn't give me the password to the slacker account. They said they assign multiple cars to each account and thus couldn't give out the information. That seemed strange and was the first time I'd ever heard of them doing that, but I didn't argue.

Curious how that works on the slacker end. If I favorite a bunch of crappy songs and reject all the decent ones, then everyone with my shared account is tortured?
