Utah
There have been some introductions in other Utah threads, but I thought it would be nice to have a thread dedicated to it.

I live in Lehi and normally commute to SLC. However, I do consulting work so I never know where I will be next week. Work takes me all over Utah, from Logan, to Vernal, to St George and all sorts of places in between. Fortunately only a few of the locations are outside of the range that the model S can do without public charging. Any of those locations I normally stay over night so hopefully I can find charging options that are workable.

My black P85+ should be finished this week. I haven't talked to my recently assigned delivery specialist yet to see if there is a specific date. I have a list of about 30 clients and coworkers that want to ride in the car once it arrives. I've never been this excited about an automotive purchase. Since I placed my order I detest driving my ICE, I'm looking forward to relief.

I spend a lot of time in the car and learned long ago that unless if I don't absolutely love what I'm driving I will go insane. I lean towards performance vehicles and enjoy spirited driving.

My previous 3 cars are as follows:
1993 Mitsubishi 3000 GT
2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STI
2010 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR

Hey there, nice into. Very exciting. I would love a visit-look-ride whatever when it shows up! If you have dozens of people lining up for show & tell it's certain that you'll cause the sale of at least a couple more. (just like Elon has said)

I have lived East Bench SLC for over 25 yrs. work in a building that I own in Midvale. I drive crappy old cars, best one in the family (by far) is now the LEAF, 2011 low serial #. We brought the 4th or 5th LEAF into Utah ourselves, from CA on a trailer. Do you know how many Teslas are here? Not many, soon though.

I'm a little too excited about owning a Model X P,85,AWD etc. But I am, in fact, very excited. The wait is tough. I try to keep perspective though, I heard on the radio today that the BP Gulf oil spill was 3 years ago!! Seems so recent, so I figure the year+ I'm waiting for "this is the best car ever" will go by fast.

Til then, Gas is Gross  ML

@Denarius - Thank you for your contributions to the forum. It's great to have other Utahn's active here on TMC.

When I last spoke with someone from the Denver service center, he said they look to put in a new service center once there are 200-250 cars in the area! As Salt Lake looks to be getting a service center by year end, it looks like we have and will have quite a few cars here. Oddly, I have yet to see an unfamiliar (one where I don't know the owner and am not expecting to see it) Model S in the wild in Utah.

Your delivery window is coming up very soon! Very, very exciting!

@BryanW Thanks!

I'm guessing the service center rollout was accelerated based on the influx of cash that Tesla received, just like the superchargers. Having superchargers in Utah will attract attention (hopefully) and remove range anxiety for trips. Add a service center and I'd say the SLC area is ripe for the picking.

It is nice to be part of this Utah group! I hope to enjoy everyone's Model S on the road. I have only seen one in the wild (white)-and it wasn't even the one I knew was around (blue). I am anxiously awaiting my X!

Hello Utah folks!

I live in Ogden Valley (Huntsville, Eden, Utah, Pineview Reservoir area) and do most of my driving in Weber and Davis counties. I have a 90 to 100 mile a daily commute to Centerville.

I'm taking delivery of my fully loaded red P85+ tonight -- I just got a call from the truck driver this morning that he was in Sacramento driving directly to my house. As you can imagine, I'm very excited. Today my electrician finished wiring a NEMA 14-50 and a HPWC on a 100amp circuit in my garage. I added my HPWC to the PlugShare network, so come take a drive up to the beautiful valley where I live and stop by for a chat, and enjoy the view while you charge.

I have an appointment scheduled for window tinting next Wednesday, and then the next day on Thursday July 4th, I'll drive the car in the Huntsville Independence day parade. Any ideas for a good sign to put on the license plate area?

Hey Linux64! I would love to visit sometime, worked on a big new house in Liberty a couple years ago, I could easily make some excuse to get up there. 100 mile commute Whoa! Someone needs a Tesla.

About your parade - "American Made, American Powered" in Red White and Blue of course. Although by now you have probably got that figured out. Didn't see your post til almost too late! The Neighborhood parade here starts right in front of my house. Have Fun!

I run up to Logan every once in a while so I may take up you on this!

I have heard that there is a Tesla owner here in Cache Valley, but have yet to spot the car. Any Cache Valley owners on this forum? I've put in a reservation for the Model X but am also looking forward to the Model 3. Denarius, if you have extra time in Logan on one of your trips, I'd love to see your Model S!

I'll let you know next time I'm up that way. I do know one owner directly in Logan. Linux64 is also up that way.

That one is mine =D I was the only Tesla there last week, so sad. I plan on going down there again this Saturday. Hoping to see another S.

Hello Utah Tesla Owners,

I am glad to have found this forum. It has answered many of my questions about driving a Tesla and raised a few others. I am a few weeks away from placing my order for a Model S. I have struggled to decide between ordering a P85D and and 85D.

As you probably know, no test drives are available in Utah right now (thanks to our brilliant legislators). I am flying to Portland at the end of this month where they will have a P85D for me to try out, but no 85D.

I don't know if this is too much to ask, but does anyone along the Wasatch Front have an 85D they would be willing to show me? I would love to get some feedback.

Thanks in advance,

Tom
