My charge port door has started to stick on occasion. I hit the button on the UMC/HPWC and I hear a click, but the door doesn't open. If I repeat this a few times eventually it will open. The easier thing seems to be to push on the far right side of the door after hearing the click (presumably a lock releasing) which overcomes whatever is causing the door to stick.

Has anyone had any success using a lubricant on the door hinge or around the edge of the door to fix this issue?

Mine has stuck a few times. The nice guy at Tesla I talked to told me on the phone to use a credit card, and it works. You need to slide the card into the top side of the reflector, and while pushing inward, slide the card downward to the left toward the angled corner. If it doesn't pop open, try sliding the credit card into and out of and back into the corner area. If the problems is chronic, have it looked into at a Service Center.
