Sales looked pretty solid in May:
GM Sales Rise 11% in May, Volt Up 249% - TheStreet

Good news for the whole EV ecosystem if Chevy can keep growth in sales going, IMO.

Here's a story about how a Volt did not catch fire. The Camry that hit the Volt did catch fire, however.

And I saw my second Volt in the wild. It was red. Very cool.

There's a red one at my office now. Love that color.

After 2,100 miles on my wife's Volt, the display says the oil has 95% of it's life remaining, At this pace, the first oil change will be at about 42,000 miles.

...from 35. Great that they're improving the product, but this is almost a rounding error.

I'd tend to agree with you, but just to be fair it is an 8.5% increase in range for the same price. That's right in line with the 8% number Elon is always throwing around for the rate at which batter tech is increasing.

Part of the added range is because the capacity of the battery has increased by 0.5 kWh, the rest would be efficiency gained.

Still, at the same price it´s all gain it would appear...

Good stuff - would like to see these kinds of improvements hit the market constants - 8% every year quickly adds up to large improvements.
