What are your favorite comments / quotes about Tesla, Model S and Elon

Everybody has an opinion and thoughts about Tesla and Elon. Why not take a minute and post some favorites.

Beautiful, well-crafted, cool, and seriously fast, the Model S isn't just the most important car of the year. It's the most important car America has made in an entire lifetime. -

    I am still grinning. WOW......
This is all the car I was telling people it would be more than 3 years ago and MORE! Tesla more than delivered on its promise of building the best sedan out there. I didn’t think this level of vehicle was possible from TESLA. I knew it would be great, I didn’t know it would be earth shatteringly unbelievable

So, fittingly, it's a spaceship. The Model S is the most impressive feat of American industrial engineering since, well, a couple of months ago, when Mr. Musk's SpaceX successfully launched and recovered a spacecraft that rendezvoused with the international space station.

"In 50 years, we’ll look back on the internal combustion engine and see it as a giant anachronism, like the steam locomotive.” Elon Musk

In one of his more colorful moments, Musk complained that Tesla was forced to do some ridiculous things to get parts in time. “We had to fly a lot of stuff,” he said. “When you fly something, it can cost 10 times as much as shipping by sea or rail or truck. We have to fly some tires from the Czech Republic. I wanted to punch myself in the face for that one.”

    Honorable mention to this one:

Return to Power: the 2013 Tesla Model S - Road & Track

We rooted for the home team, but we gave our allegiances (and down payments) to the Germans and the Japanese, wondering if the American car companies could ever make a truly amazing car. Not just a good car-America makes plenty of very good cars today, thankfully-but a true game changer, a machine so breathtaking that the whole world must stop and sigh "wow."

[...] the driving experience is an odd cognitive mash-up-somewhere between shouting Greenpeace-approved obscenities at Toyota Priuses and dusting Corvettes from stoplights on a cruise night.

"And then, blissfully, at one of the all-too-brief passing lanes created during road improvements for the winter Olympics, the truck oozes over to the right, I show the Model S the clear road ahead and, lulled by quiet comfort, stomp on the accelerator. At which point, we are apparently rear-ended by the Millennium Falcon."

    I loved that quote.

    But I chuckled at:

The Porsche growled, where the Tesla utters little more than an amusing “phfweeeee!”, but the electric car is faster. Much faster.
