I frequently drive alone, I don't really need passenger side to be vented. Is there a way to just keep driver side climate control on other than manual shut off the vent on the passage side?
you can also set the temperature such that it shouldn't be doing anything on the passenger side, but that might require a bit more fiddling than just "off"
it would seem that there is little to be gained in terms of efficiency by turning off just one side, wouldn't focusing on one side simply cause the unit to work just as hard to make up for the heat diffusing throughout both sides?

I always leave sync temp on when driving solo, so there is a consistent temperature. Setting different temps for driver and passenger is only useful when one is feeling hot and the other is feeling cold.
