Cool in theory, but the number of ways this could go wrong in practice boggle the mind. The highway departments in most states have trouble keeping the roads reasonably free of potholes and the bridges from collapsing; entrusting them with an EV-charging infrastructure seems hopelessly idealistic.

I'll buy that. However, I can't see any state legislature approving the funding in the first place.

Wireless street parking for charging could happen someday. I could see that in the next decade or two.
