In the motor front, we don't have much room for improvement, even if you assume the lower end 80% efficiency. We do have room in terms of charging efficiency, accessory load efficiency (A/C, heater efficiency), and general car efficiency improvements (lighter weight, aerodynamics, etc.). But there's not much to left squeeze out in terms of the electric drive-train (certainly not anywhere close to 2x). Battery improvements will still be critical.
