Good thing no one told all of us gearheads who modified our ICE's to be EV's, including some drag racers. Eventually someone will drop the pack out of an S and install a smaller lighter high C rate pack, and maybe tweak the max current and voltage for the inverter.Instant torque is a wonderful thing yet EVs in general are not popular amongst gearheads and probably never will be.
tesla is still the best
Maybe a Tesla Roadster Sport would have won the race?
again, they were neck and neck until about 70mph when the Renntech's big liter engine and obnoxious bored-out exhaust finally pull away. again, useful only on a drag-strip, not in daily driving.
Advantage still Tesla.

Well the S driver jumped the light, if they launched together that might not have been the case.

Of course I am serious. You mean that a four door sedan has to race versus another four door sedan?
that E63 is pushing 700+HP and ran 11.08 @ 130 MPH, it would blow the doors off a Tesla roadster.....

The Model S already beats the Roadster in a drag race. There's no way the Roadster would've been a match for the tuned E63.
A tuned roadster might. Through the grapevine I've heard of some sub 3 Roadsters.
