Ok, so i know that there are some great web designers out there... we have seen a couple of cool web pages for you MS.

Here are a couple:
http://www.gumbas.com/flux2

http://dash.teslatime.com/?

I think there should be one for:
1)a web page for the valet - showing him/her what to do - not to do.
2)a web page in case I get pulled over for speeding - maybe get me out of a ticket? (law enforcement themed).
3)a web page that looks like a window into the car.
4)animated gifs??
5)??

what else is out there?

Ok, needing to tread lightly here ... commercialism ... I have always been under the impression that this forum is for non-commercial use.
Yet I see links to "web sites" that say they are for valet parking yet seem to be links to for-profit businesses run by Tesla owners to sell to others?
I never advertise my business, even in forums where there might be something in common ... I would ask the mods if I could sponsor something.
So I ask ... what is the forum policy regarding cloaked spam?
We pay voluntary $ to be here (at least I did) and I don't care for advertising, no matter how "subtle".

It's a topic that the moderators discuss frequently, with a lot of variables. Model S owner or just someone promoting their business? Frequent poster with real contributions or just someone here to promote their business? Are they trying to take traffic off the site or not? Is this something that could damage TMC's reputation? Is it something our members would like to know about?

And thank you for saying you'd ask the mods first - our experience, to date, has not included being asked first. I would expect that you'll be seeing a documented policy in the coming months, especially as more and more Model S are on the road.

If you are referring to TeslaAccessories I'll defend Soflauthor here, since he doesn't come onto the forum that often, and I know him personally. The Valet mode page was put up before any of the TeslaAccessories stuff and was there for his own use. He mentioned it on the forum simply as an offer of help to others. Others might be trying to 'pull a fast one', but not in this case.

Yes, I also followed the process including during my extensive lurking days. I understand that it's a slippery slope and the camel's nose and all that. The way the valet thing played out seemed purely innocent. As far as the CCI, it seems as though a guy busted his butt to bring something to market (starting from zero) that lots of us not only want, but can't wait to buy. Having said all that; I trust the mods to make these decisions.

That flux capacitor needs some animation :)

I like the teslatime page, but I would like to see one that had smaller versions of the functions and showed them at the same time. More of a widget based system where you could design a layout of the displays you wanted. Making sure they all fit with aesthetic of the built-in displays.

Here's two pages I put up for my own use. A "home" page, and a traffic cameras page for driving in.
I put the links on the right side of the page so my passenger can reach them.

The traffic cameras provide "live video", so you can judge the movement of traffic. The scroll bars on each camera don't appear on the browser on the car.

(Kudos to teslamods.com, where I found the CF background!)

Hi all,

This thread seems old (last post is from Jan 2013), but after some forum & Google search, I have not found anything else.

I have my Model S since May 2014, and have found that there are not many websites developed to be displayed on the main screen of the car.

I usually use:
http://dash.time4tesla.com
http://qtes.la

And I recently have found this one:

What do you guys use, if you are using any website at all to display on the screen?

$20 a year? for stuff that's free on the internet? I'm sorry, that's just nuts. Even the Elluminer Trunk lighting package at $189 is a total rip off. I did this for under $40 with the exact same functionality without the need to turn in my lights and no impact to original car configuration. I know people need to make money, but seems kind of a lot. I guess there must be a market for it...

They outline on the FAQ why they are charging for it. Pimarily: Icon packs, API Access for Flight and Weather, Data Transfer over the Hosting Server, Support and on-going development. It's less than $2/month and it gets you access to ALL the apps they push out. So it's actually a pretty good deal. IMOHO
