It gets you 80-120 miles on a 10-20 minute charge. So I don't see how this is news other than that a new company is developing it and it is optimized for li-ion/li-phosphate batteries. They didn't mention range or size of battery so it's unclear if it charges faster than existing rapid chargers. It mentions some kind of storage medium and ultracapacitors. That isn't a new idea either, we all know that you can have a battery or some other storage medium specifically used for charging EVs so as to take the load off the grid, if such charging happens during peak hours. It's just more expensive that way, but I can see why it will likely be needed if EVs get popular.
